What it is like
Nimmanhaemin Road and the numbered sois that run off it. Coffee is close to a local industry here, most cafés are half full of people working, and the lower sois hold the roasters, design shops and restaurants that open late.
It sits west of the Old City, next to the university, with Doi Suthep behind it. Maya and One Nimman anchor either end. Reaching the moat is a ten minute drive or a long flat walk, which is the trade this neighbourhood asks you to make.
Our local guide holds only three places in Nimman. That is a limit of the guide rather than of the neighbourhood: it was written outwards from a house in Chang Khlan and covers what our own guests walk to. Read the list below as our notes, not as a survey.

Who it suits
Judgement rather than fact. This is how we answer a guest who asks us to choose between neighbourhoods.
- Working trips: reliable Wi-Fi, cafés that tolerate a laptop for three hours, co-working within walking distance.
- Stays of a week or more, where going back to the same coffee place matters more than being beside the temples.
- Eating and drinking without ordering a ride first.
- Less suited to a short first visit built around the Old City, which is a ride away at the end of every evening.
We do not manage anywhere in Nimman yet.
Rather than pad this page out, we would sooner say so. We take on properties one at a time and only where we can look after them properly, so this list grows slowly and on purpose.
